Blue Light

A month ago my parents landed in London; here to explore my life over this side of the world.  And I couldn't have been happier to share it with them.  My life here isn't interesting enough to spend a month on though, so we decided to go to Europe together for two weeks.  Consulting the globe, the hard part was finding somewhere none of us had been to yet.  Mum and Dad lived in London when they were about my age, and it turns out they made the most of their time over here.  Which means that between them and us, we've managed to travel to most of Europe.  So where to go that was new for all of us?  At some stage Croatia came up, and we ended up running with the idea.  All I knew of Croatia was the very drunk sailing trips most New Zealanders seem to embark on when they are in Europe.  (Obviously not so keen on that experience with my folks in tow.)  The more we explored Croatia as an option, the more it seemed to tick all the boxes.

And as it turns out, it couldn't have been a better decision.  We hired a car and spent almost two weeks in the north of Croatia.  And what a vastly different, beautiful, and interesting place it was.  But enough from me, I'll let a few of the snaps I took along the way speak for me.

Birdsong

The south of France.  It's a way of life; a simple pace.  A pace in stark contrast to London; almost dream like.  And here we are; living the dream.
